Well, we had another "Respiratory Episode" Tuesday night! It just came out of the blue, she was asleep and woke up wheezing and couldn't catch her breath! Too scary for me, wouldn't hurt my feeling if that never happens again! At least the hospital gave us a rescue inhaler in case of emergency! Thank Goodness! So...we had to visit the doctor yesterday. She said they moved Hannah from possible asthma to reoccurring asthma. Oh Yay! Now she is on a steroid inhaler for the next month and her regular inhaler twice a day. She said that now the inhaler goes everywhere Hannah does and that everyone she is around needs to know how to use it. At least now we are prepared for any future episodes!!

awww! hang in there. i know there is a strong chance that they can outgrow it at this age. sam has mild asthma too. his doesn't happen all of a sudden like that. when he starts coughing, just like a regular little cough, if we don't breathing treatments it goes quickly into pneumonia (?) or something like that.
You said it right- at least now you have some tools if it happens again. It's so scary when you don't have the right meds to deal with it. Ella has been on pulmicort, a steroid inhaler, everyday for a year now and we were recently able to drop down to just once a day. We've only had to use her rescue nebs a few times in between. Hopefully once you are able to figure out what triggers her attacks, it will be better controlled. Ella's gets worse when the weather changes. Hang in there, Momma- at least now you are prepared!
